How Did Your Character Die In Rok II?

I thought I would start this topic just because my character just died and now I need to get some FP. I was fighting a gang and was doing good but then the gang leader appeared and leveled my character in one blow! What really frightens me is when my character resurrects I will have to face him again so I will go slow on getting into combat.

Arrows lot and lots of arrows slowly dwindled my HP. Now I do not go on patrols unless I have a supple of healing potions. As you go up in level it does not get easier.

I haven't reached the stage of doing a proper patrol. I died half way through the patrol. I started doing some training and bettered my sword hit but it ate up my gold. I took up some assignments but I think I took up stuff that was out of my rank.

I am going on patrols with a bow and arrows. I am killing the bandits but I think that is a reason they are hitting me too. Maybe if I use a sword I can do better and not use so much healing.

I believe I made my character unplayable. He has no usable profession, can only perform simple unskilled labor and only half the time successfully, and has perished often and repeatedly to the weakest opponents. Now, he is doomed to face a giant spider every time he enters combat for the remainder of his short, pathetic career. At this point, it would be far less work to simply start over. Otherwise, I'd start to feel like I'm trolling boards just to resurrect a character who either isn't worth the effort or has no role-playable reason for surviving.

Your character probably has low soul which can make you really unlucky. I started out like that but went to the palace and that solved the issue.

In answer to which question which time? My character has died like 3-4 times already. It ate up my FP resurrecting him and instead of building up his defenses I stupidly just went back in and fought again only to loose. Yeah I know. I'm saving up FP to get back in again.

I think the problem is that all of my scores were low, but not so low that the palace was helpful. Cleaning the market or the outhouse several thousand times was the only work available. I probably should have tried to power-game and min-max my statistics somehow. I opted for a well rounded character and it is unplayable.
