Zarra will wait in the castle, as she had said, still believing it was for the best that you decided to stay behind given the long history between the High elves and drow. Still, part of a wondered what may have happened if she did go and the King were to learn that a drow had helped stop Chuth and his son.

Poljen replies, "Most came from a village near where we fought the dragon. But we do not know if the village even remains standing. Many of the villages they attacked were devastated. We can go there and find out. But if the village and its people are gone, what shall we do with the children? Perhaps you can send some of your people with us. If the village is intact, well and good. If not, your troops and scouts can take over for us."

Back up in the castle, Lawrance spends time preparing four Phantom Steeds, getting the castle staff to help him rig a harness and cart for them to draw.
