Using Previous D&D Editions For D&D 5e

What do you guys think about using content or rules from previous versions of Dungeons & Dragons for Dungeons & Dragons 5e? It might be because you are used to a certain way of playing or just think that not all 5e rules should override better suited ones. What do you think?

It's the Dungeon Master's prerogative to do as they see fit. I would have no problem with rules being mixed between editions as long as everyone knows up front of any changes to the edition being used. I am biased for 5e and feel that it is best used as is *wink*.

I think each edition has some good points in the rules s well as some bad points in the rules. Trying to find what fits you the best or your campaign the best is and can be interesting. Thus the advent of house rules.
