While a nice theory, the power requirements to generate a 30 Tesla field, and the temperature they are requiring are far too high for practical use. If they are able to develop metamaterials that react at 2 or 3 teslas and 200 or less Fahrenheit, it might be useful. Even so, we should be completely over to EVs long before that can be used in a car.
