First Citizens Bank - FCB Reviewed

Name: Joanne

Comments: I am contacting you all in this manner to share a message I sent to FCB Bank complaining about the level of service meted out to a visually impaired person at the St. Vincent Street Branch. The following is the complaint given to the bank in its entirety:
"I am contacting you all in this forum to air my disgust at the level of customer service that was meted out, not to myself but to a member of the public that is visually impaired that came into the FCB Branch on St. Vincent Street today. This gentleman I am referring to, was guided to the back of the line for the elderly and disabled, by a young lady (Who I am not sure if she works for the bank or not), and told to stay there. This poor man who is blind, is left there to rely on the assistance of the man in front of him in line to be attended to.
This sort of attention to someone visually impaired is absolutely appalling. The FCB Branch on St. Vincent street purely by location alone is the closest bank to the Blind Welfare Associaton. WHY is there not a proper protocol to deal with instances like this. People that are blind/disabled will need assistance just to go up the steep stairs to get into the St. Vincent branch of FCB. And thereafter, they need assistance as soon as they walk in the door. They are customers just like everyone else. Again WHY NO PROPER ASSISTANCE. Banks in the U.S have greeters at the door to deal with this sort of thing, for god's sake.
The above scenario was so disgusting to see, I was close to creating a scene in there, but had to leave.
Please do something about this."

I am not sure if your establishment has raised such an issue before, but I do suggest you all do so. I just hope the complaint I submitted results in some positive action.

The thing is, it's not unique to First Citizens bank at all. This situation basically occurs nearly everywhere in T&T because of the occurring reckless mentality that is contagious to environments, if the boss thinks like that it'll just simply pass down to the employees, then to the customers and so forth.
