Workplace bias differs for single versus married parents. Single moms aren't penalized at work in the same way married mothers are, new University of Arizona research suggests. At the same time, single dads don't benefit in the workplace the way that married fathers do. Source 7d.

Marriage is a sign of stability. If you have children you may get a little more sympathy than if you were single so it makes sense.

Single vs Married In The Workplace History & Civil Business Politics

Good point. Another sign of unconscious bias influencing decision making, though I don’t condemn it in this case. This just speaks to how our subconscious affects so many aspects of our life.
