Hi! I'm Maru! I don't know who you are but it's a pleasure to meet you. Or
a pleasure for you to read my journal I guess? I mean we're not exactly meeting face to face right? Anyway, if you are reading this, I'd probably rotting around somewhere, maybe in a underground royal tomb where I died heroically "searching" for treasures. Or on a sideroad, mugged by vicious bandits. Maybe by a man's hatchet, when I slept with his wife. But I hope you found this as a Great man's legacy who had left his awesome mark into this world.
Oh. I think that introduction is really nice. The hours spent reading random stuff aren't totally wasted. My mother would have been proud! And now for the main course!
Maru, I've been living with that name for 16 years. A lean tanned man of 5.7 meters tall, black hair, matching black eyes and tall nose. I was curious as a child, specially to other people! I talk and talk and talk to other people. Asking about their life stories, hobbies, their secret identities and hidden affairs. It is always fascinating to hear about their adventures, to imagine myself in their shoes. To know people. To learn their life. To know life. Mother told me My Mom wants me to be something grand! To have the world at my arms reach! To Lord over millions of denizens! But, I don't know. I just like stories. Just imagining about knowing all those bunch of stories makes feel so blessed. God knows it's really what I want. Maybe I could give world domination a shot after I'm done with all this stuff? Who knows?
A Sentimental Value
Days after my mother's passing. I was still engulfed by grief and sorrow. The house we live in suddenly felt like empty. Sweet memories came bringing tears in to my eyes. When mother prepares breakfast I so would become strong and healthy. The care I received whenever I foolishly hurt myself. Her scolding and teaching whenever I got caught peeping at chieftains wife. Everything, either good or bad moments just came crushing down. I spent my days drinking myself to misery. The town's people grew worried, checking up on me once in a while. Bringing food and offering words of consolations. One night I woke up, still feeling numbed and lonely. While I stare blankly in to the night, I remembered this ring that my mother always wore. Whenever I asked her about it, she would always tell me that the ring was her lucky charm. I searched through her belongings and found this plain ring. Coated in silver, rough when touched with no other decorations. Rub. Rub. Rub. "Hmm.. Nothing happened? I thought some kind of mature sexy guru would come out… That's, unfortunate." I tried doing several other stupid things to this ring but to no avail. And when suddenly I heard a loud THUD followed by "FBI! Drop your weapons!" I was aghast! I saw many of my neighbors storming my room with armors donned and weapons in hand. I froze in shock. What the hell happened? In the lead, was the village chief. He looked around and when he saw me, he breathed a sigh of relief."I thought something happened." He told me, "We heard someone shouting like Omae wa mou Shindeiru and many other weird things so we thought your in trouble". I froze for a second and replied. "Ohh.. Yeah, I heard that too. I was actually going to ask for help. I'm glad you guys came." While making the best smile I could muster. After that, they searched the surroundings to make sure that everything is alright. They bid me farewell afterwards. The next day I cleaned the house, packed some things and necessities and segregate all the things I couldn't use. Just like what my mother would always say, "Don't make a waste of things, even if you don't need it. Surely, someone else does." I toured around the village giving out stuff, expressing my thanks and farewell. After a last look of melancholy, I turned around and left the small village.
"Shoot! This wretched ring won't fit!"
I was having a blast! I never knew big town's would have this much people! It's like they're everywhere. Going here and there, annoying people out. Being incredibly watchful of young girls *wipes drool* who might need some *ehem* gentlemanly assistance. Looking at expensive wares while fantasizing about breaking them apart one by one. Well, because I could. Hearing interesting stories from strangers, eavesdropping weird noses from private houses. Admiring mercenaries donning dashing armor and eye-catching weapons. Helping the elderly cross the streets. Gawking at scantily dressed meat sellers or "who wheres". I was actually going to try my luck with one of these honorable ladies when I felt a weird sensation towards my back. I found some short black haired lady, with black starry eyes, high bridged nose, and luscious lips staring at me. Her gaze was.. Strange? I couldn't put my brain in to it. I don't know how to describe her gaze, I'm bad with adjectives. But, there is one thing I'm sure of. She's looking and walking towards me. Oh my freeking God! This drop dead gorgeous chick is walking towards me. AHH. What should I do?!? I never met someone this up front! I mean, prostitutes looking for business are even more assertive but they're not someone who looks just my age. And not this hot. She's few steps away from me and I feel I could no longer breath. My hearts beats so loud just like a drummer pounding madly. Is this it? Will I finally leave my youth behind?!? Would my hours of *research* finally be put to good use? While thinking if anything to say so I wouldn't look a kid who just met his first love. The goddess is finally in front of me smiling dazzlingly. Ah my eyes. "Hhi there, do you play support?" What in seven hells did I just say? She appears confused for a moment but shrugs is off. "You are Maru right?" I stared at her mouth wide open thinking, Oh my!! she'd even gone this far? Is this the fabled female stalker. I thought they're just legends!?! While my imaginations are running wild, she smiled briefly and said, "I am Maria". She paused and continued, "Your stepsister". And I froze.
Reflections On Your Mother
Mother.... It's been years. I still remember her smile, the delicious foods she cooked. The care and love she gave me. All seems like yesterday. Do you know Mother? The first thing I did when I got in town is to learn how to cook! I've always loved your cooking! By this time, I could already be considered an expert. But I think your cooking is still far more delicious. You always told me about my destiny. That I would soar and do great things. I now believe you wholeheartedly. Do you know? I already died once! And came back! I mean, who can do that?I already feel like a legend. Don't worry Mother. I'd always take care of myself. I'll eat healthy foods. I'll achieve great things. I'll make lots of babies. And no incest. I hope. I miss you.
