Kettleford Introduction - Page 2

Hi there, sorry if I am posting this in the wrong area, but I seem to be struggling to get started. It might be because I first posted back in april, and in the wrong forum.

My intention is to play ROK II, and to get started with character creation. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

No friend, I am not here to play Dungeons & Dragons. The above posts will give you a partial explanation of who I am, my RPG background, and my love of creating and being a part of an ongoing world, where I can not only role-play as my character (Which I think will have an interesting ark, as I see him now as a young man entering The Town for the first time, into the man and warrior-knight I dream for him to become). Only time shall tell, if my actions, just as we all do in our own lives, cause the young man to fulfil his path, or if some tragedy strikes, or his choices lead him to a darker future.

I am interested in learning the lore of the game, and it's various characters, both npc's and especially the pc's whom he meets. For me, it is this exploring, and curiosity of the unknown which I find as a player compelling, more so than even treasures and acclaim. I am interested to see how a character starts off with high ideals and morals, but how these may not be the final outcome. I also enjoy learning about the npc's and what they are about.

The writing side of me, likes to add to the world, be it the events I go through, or in any way that is allowed and encorouged. So, I may dabble in some of the out of character topics, and discuss the current world we all live in, but I doubt you will see me much in those threads, as I am here to escape all of that.

Lastly, I am currently undergoing serious medical treatment which I would rather keep private at this time. So I may have several days when I am unable to take part in the game, through no choice of my own. Please do not take this as apathy or that I am not enjoying myself. As nothing further could be true. In fact, I look forward in playing ROK II's sister product, the science fiction one. This is a genre I have never tried (Well, if you don't include the comedy RPG Paranoia) in any form other than on crpg, am quite enthused to do so. So count me in when that game is ready to play.
