Speaker Introduction

Speaker's Introduction:

I work a job where there are times that I simply need to exist, while I sit at a desk, with a computer and access to the internet (Like I am as I write this now). I enjoy Dungeons & Dragons, I enjoy reading fantasy, and I've dabbled in writing fantasy. All of these things sound great to me, BUT I have only a vague sense of what this will be like.

I'm interested in joining because I believe I might really enjoy the RPG aspect of this. But even after perusing the front page and reading about ROK II, I still don't know what game play might look like. I think something that would have gotten me significantly more interested initially is if I got to preview a few screenshots, or maybe some idea of the format and pace of the actual interactions to gauge the complexity of the learning curve here. The introduction page said "Very easy to learn" but it's in a box I'm not allowed to peek into until I've created an account and introduced myself.

I grew up with nerdy friends and am no stranger to table-tops and late-night dice rolls, I've campaigned on roll20, participated in Discord Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, and even helped homebrew a few modules, incorporating aspects from my favorite fantasy books and my own writings.

I believe I've said my piece here, I've come because this sounded fun and I think I could do well here.

Thank you.

Introduction Speaker

Welcome adventurer. The current RPG in this Community is Ruler of Kings II which is a custom text based RPG and while similar to Dungeons & Dragons it is an independent and self-regulating role-playing system. I dare say, for the purpose of solo online entertainment while still maintaining a detailed character and imaginative development you will find that ROK II is far more diverse and engaging as a text RPG.
