Doing Business In Trinidad & Tobago 2008

Doing Business In Trinidad & Tobago 2008

TV 6 reported that on an international index we sled back from 71st place (I believe) to somewhere in the 80s, I think it was (81st). It seems Doing Business In Trinidad & Tobago is more difficult and less secure as compared to 181 other counties on the index. Some of the things mentioned were weak laws for when companies become insolvent and a few other things. What are your thoughts?

According to that source we are ranked 80th in the 2009 rank down from 71st in the last yeah, a drop of 9. This is out of 181 economies and I don't know if this makes sense to people but...

Region:
Latin America & Caribbean
Income category:
Upper middle income
Population:
1,333,050
GNI per capita (US$):
14,100.00

GNI is Gross National Income

Oh yeah I agree we have a long way to go.
