Comments: I am a victim of crime just as many law abiding citizens of T & T. I've been involved in two robberies and the third my husband went through it alone. I feel for everyone I cannnot imagine how it feels to lose a loved one or be brutalized we are grateful to God that we were spared of these gruesome acts. The bandits robbed us while getting bread three years ago two young boys between ages 17-20 of African decent and they took my gold ring(which didn't matter) and my husband's wallet with about$30. We called the police who were a minute away from the scene and yet they took twenty minutes to come they had a gun and knife and held the gun to my head during the robbery.The second time we got robbed by a mask bandit carrying a gun and he held it to my waist the year after losing a car which was found in Laventille and forensics would never check the vehicle for us to get it back so thats a lose we could live with. The third time three armed men, African descent between ages 25-35 robbed my husband at his business place and took pricy items which we thankfully recovered due to my sighting of the them on the way down to meet him. They tied up both him and the worker and threatened to kill him and they told him they were accustomed doing this and insurance would pay him again they were not caught until long after. God knows if they were ever sentenced because they confessed to the crimes but still wanted the victims to stand as witnesses. This to us did not make sense but we never did for fear of our family being harmed. Now we hardly go out and we are paranoid about safety whether at home work or driving or the once in a while place we may go...I will continue to pray for all the victims of crime and all the people who have gone through similar and worse experiences.God help Trinidad!
