The plan surrounds a gradual release of sanctions but it appears that NK wanted it all removed so this meeting turned out to be a waste. Probably what made it cut for Trump was the fact of all that is going on home with the Cohen testimony.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw testing of a new 'tactical guided weapon,' according to state-run media. The Korean Central News Agency did not detail what kind of weapon the North Koreans tested but said the event was "Of very weighty significance in increasing the combat power" of the country's military. President Donald Trump invites North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to meet him at Korea border. Wrapping up events at the G-20 summit before heading to South Korea, Trump appeared to invite Kim to meet him at his next stop in the Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea. "If Chairman Kim of North Korea sees this, I would meet him at the Border/DMZ just to shake his hand and say Hello(?)!" Trump tweeted Saturday morning Japan time. Ref. USAToday.

Trump becomes first sitting US President to step into North Korea. Donald Trump has made history, becoming the first sitting US President to step foot on North Korean soil.

Trump crossed over the demarcation line separating North and South Korea at the invitation of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

"I'll invite him to the White House right now," Trump said before shaking hands with Kim. Ref. USAToday.
