Grumar looks up at you squinting one eye as if pondering just how to form his answers correctly. The dwarf priest is obviously not revealing everything he knows. However, you can see by the discomfort in his diluted answers he wishes he could say more.

"Nargoz is, was, a good friend. We often discussed different topics over a friendly game of Kingdoms (aka chess). The book is believed to be stolen, but is actually as of now being taken to a safer place by Tobolar."

Grumar pats the boy on the back, you notice a backpack on the young boy. Naylen looks up at you with a boyish grin.

"Naylen must go to Jorine for several reasons. Most of which you are better off not knowing and regardless I am bound to silence on at this moment. I can tell you below the ruined temple, in its catacombs, a rouge branch of Heironeous followers exist still. Naylen, or Jack, will be safer there. The journey should take you about two days. You will most likely need to camp within Shaderoot Forest. I have no way of knowing the extent of the devils strength as of now. They might attack Klagek and if they did this temple would be one of the first places the foul creatures came to destroy. This task is dangerous, but no more dangerous than waiting here to be slaughtered like cattle. Also Jack is not allowed to speak, he has taken a vow of silence. He is a capable student though and has learned some of the healing arts already."

Grumar reaches out and grasps Valdien's arms. Looking seriously at both Valdien and Lwentano.

"Please, have faith in Heironeous, go in his light."

Grumar waits a while for any further questions. But explains gruffly that he has said about as mutch as he can say and that time is running short. The longer his spell deflects any magical ears or eyes the more it becomes a beacon of suspicious activity to the devils.

Grumar chants a few words, removing the spell. Then he and Jack also join in prayer. Light filters in threw the stain glassed image of Heironeous standing triumphant over the body of a dragon, it being run threw by a longsword. After praying Valdien, Gabriel, and Jack walk outside onto the Klagek street. Grumar bids you a good journey and bows.

Strangely everything seems different somehow once out of the temple. You feel still, warmth in your spirit from prayer. All of your senses seem more acute.

Lwentana joins the party as it leaves the town of Klagek, threw the north gate. Just outside a farmer with an empty wagon is passing you heading north. Noticing the two followers of Heironeous, he stops and calls out to your party, "Can I offer you a ride north brothers? I am going as far as Nartok's farmstead." (Lwentana you recognize the name as a farm located about 5 miles north)

It is still early morning, dew is just beginning to evaporate off of the grass.
In the back of the wagon you see what appears to be a human, female passenger. (The passenger is Rissa / Kiaya)

Rather off topic, but...
Thomas you are still party leader and can post the parties actions here. I just saw the last post was around 2 days ago. I read what everyone said and posted more game information just to keep things moving.

Kiaya pokes her head up awkwardly from the back of the wagon after being spotted. Unleashing an unexpected belch followed by a drunken giggle she scratches her head looking a little cross eyed and begins to speak in a loud whisper "Good den, my gentles and lady--*hiccups* I am Kiaya, do as thou wilt with thee as I know not of my future." Kiaya takes a last chug of wine before throwing the empty bottle over the railing carelessly before speaking again, much louder this time. "By my troth! Thou mustn't take thee back thither!" she pleaded "They haven't the time for a drunken Monk shuch as thee self." *hiccups*
Kiaya could no longer see straight nor did she have complete understanding of her surroundings
She began to wobble drunkenly in wagon. "Wench, beakers all around!" She demanded before dropping unconscious.

Gabriel looked up from his prayers when he heard the belch and giggling. He watched Kiava closely as she introduced herself. He stands ready to offer a greeting in return when he saw Kiava starting to fall, he quickly moves forward to catch her and prevent her from hurting herself. "Easy there", he says as he set her down more comfortably and helped her to consciousness a bit, "I think you have had enough to drink my lady".

Kiaya was caught and lowered to the ground easily where she gained consciousness once again. She blinked hesitantly in her drunken state until her vision began to focus again peering into the face of Gabriel. "Ye art quite handsome." she said before turning her head and beginning to violently vomit.
Kiaya would wipe the spew from her chin. "Too much to drink? Nay! Drinking *hiccup* makes thee joyful and happy" she replied, follow by another giggle.

"Please my lady", Gabriel asks as he watched Kiaya vomit, "You need to understand when you have had enough, and give yourself the respect you deserve", Gabriel explains to the young woman, and ignored the smell of the vomit.
At her words that drinking makes one joyful and happy he says, "There is other means of happiness my lady", Gabriel tells Kiaya, giving her a drink of water to help her clear her head a bit, "I, Gabriel, can say that being with family and friends can make thee happy and fill thee with joy", he gives her for an example.

Kiaya staggers to her feet taking a few mouthfuls of water before spitting it out in disgust. "And what might YE call THIS!?" she loudly asked with a sour look upon her face as if she had eaten a lemon.
Kiaya tries desperately to remember the kind words spoken to her by Gabriel but lost her train of thought when given a drink of water
She pokes Gabriel in the chest continuously growing a goofy grin "Mayhap thou will fetch the ale next time before your prayers good sir."
She then took a seat closing her eyes and enjoying the intake of fresh air as her world spun in circles inside her mind. "Drunkenness is a lot like meditating, if thou can see past the double images and the *hiccup* mobility problems then thou can see the deeper hidden aspects that thee mind can achieve."
Kiaya was starting to sober up slightly.
Noticing she was starting to babble Kiaya turned to Gabriel in confusion "I know not thy names, nor where ye is headed." She crosses her legs suddenly "I sure hope thither is a privy. I have not urinated in ages." she explained.

Lwentano watches the young lady as she falls out of the wagon is helped by Gabriel and then vomits. He knows that this young lady is not a lady at all. He wonders what she will bring to the group besides the obvious taste for spirits. HE smiles as she spats out the water and then looks for a privy. Lwentano walks over to her spins her quickly then holds her for a bit as she gains back some equilibrium and points out the nearest tree.
That there tree be the closest thing to a privy out here on the road. I suggest you use it quickly.

Kiaya is spun around by Lwentano and is facing the other direction facing towards the tree. "Aye, that tree shall do nicely" she replied as she awaited the wagon to stop.
Kiaya jumps the side of the wagon and stumbled over to the treeline taking a squat as she lifted her robe and began to urinate in plain sight of the others
"I still know not thy names, nor where ye is headed." she called out while finishing her business.
Walking back over to the wagon feeling relieved she began to explain "I believe I told thou earlier my name was Kiaya, and I am headed anywhere but back thither."
Boarding the wagon sloppily she brushed the dirt from her robe and took her seat as they began to move once again.

Well met Kiaya. I am Lwentano. We are escorting this young man up north to visit some ruins. I hope that by joining us you are able to assist in this forlay. If not you can always head back there.
As Lwentano says this he first indicates the young man before pointing back towards the city walls.

Kiaya is snapped from her careless behavior and grows a serious look upon her face as he points to the city walls
"Visit some ruins thee say?" she replies without hesitation lifting her eyebrows in newborn interest "Splendid, 'tis an honor to join thou."

Tis a honor to have you join us then m'lady.
Lwentano offers her a slight nod of his head as he says thus.
I am sure that after we get back from the ruins we may share a ale or two.

"I am Gabriel Mechtilde, and a paladin of Heironeus. This", Gabriel says pointing to his sister, "is my young brother Valdalyn Mechtilde, also a paladin of Heironeus". Gabriel continues pointing to Brahmin, Lwentano, and lastly Jack, "This is our group's Cleric, Brahmin. Also Lwentano, a fighter, and Jack a young Cleric of Heironeus.

Kiaya smiles while being introduced to everyone
Nudging Lwentano in the side with her elbow she begins to speak "I would LOVE to have an ale or two with thee"
Taking a second sober glance around the wagon she noticed she was the only one without a weapon
"Plan on fighting some nasty creatures in those ruins with those blades are ye?" she asks jokingly.

IC: Lwentano looks a bit closer at the young lady and sees that she does not seem to have any weapons besides her dress. HE has heard of some monks who have developed a fighting style without weapons. HE is glad to have met one now.
Yeah we can share a few ales and have a good time remembering this adventure. I take ye for a monk as I see you have no weapon. I prefer to use a sword and if I can a bow to kill from afar.

Kiaya runs her hands through her straight black hair as she looks again at Lwentano "Aye, I stated earlier that I was a monk, and indeed I prefer what god has blessed me with rather than a straight edged slab of steel made of the finest craftsmanship." she explains feeling a good about herself.

The party jumps aboard the wagon and rides on it north for about five miles. After about an two hours you arrive at Nartok's farmstead. Passing farmers and various civilians on the way, they pay little notice to the party, several kids make faces at one point. Once there the farmer stops before turning off the road down the farmers path.

"This is as far as I go brothers. Heironeous's blessing upon you." With that the farmers waits for everyone to exit the cart and turns east down the farmers path.

The road turns into a trail and continues northeast. Farms no longer dot its course, only the occasional long abandoned farmhouse. You arrive at Shaderoot Forest after about six hours. You have about seven hours till nightfall. It will take about seven to eight hours to travel threw Shaderoot.

What do you wish to do?

Rather off topic, but...
If you can Thomas, reduce the party post to just basic actions that are required for me to know. Leave out as much as you can without loosing the main actions. I religeously read the party thread so I have all that information. I was thinking more like, the game thread would read as the game post and then the core reactions of the party. This way it will read smoothly, you are doing a fine job thus far, just trying to weed out all the information that isn't immediately important.

While looking for a spot to set up camp in the open you spot an abandoned farmhouse about 400 feet from the forest entrance. It is 15 feet wide and 20 feet long, the walls go up 15 feet roughly and there is no roof. It has long sense deteriorated. Relatively recent repairs have been shoddily made on holes that had naturally formed from rot. A small fire pit has been created by some previous occupant, though no recent signs of use are present.

What does the party wish to do while waiting for the next day? You have about 5 hours of daylight left.

Gabriel you find a few charred, half burnt bones within the fire pit. They seem to be goblinoid or a childs.

The party sets up camp within the abandoned building.

During your watch Lwentano, you see (40 feet away) four figures shuffling towards you slowly (in two turns they will be in melee range with you). They are about 5 feet tall and of light build. They are unarmed, their faces distorted into a petrified silent scream.

The rest of the party lay asleep.

What do you wish to do Lwentano?

The rest of the party wakes to see:

The zombie looking creatures shamble forward without slowing. The arrows all hit their mark, yet all but the last arrow strangely are rejected from the creatures body (leaving no sign of damage). The last arrow slips back out of the wound leaving a black goo to run down from the hole. The four gruesome faced monsters don't seem to show any sign of, anything, they continue to come towards you.

Stepping back to allow the creatures entrance one by one, your party surrounds the first enemy at the doorway. Stopping the other three from having entrance or being able to attack.

For rolls I will need: Any attack rolls / damage rolls that are going to be used on the target, and a spot check from everyone (d20).

Gabriel you have your chain shirt on but it gives one less point to AC (being donned hastily). You are standing on the right of the creature near the door.

Lwentano you are standing one step back from the entrance and you are armed. The creature is in front of you, Gabriel to the right, Valdien on your left.

Valdien you are on the left and armed but not wearing armor as it was to long a time to don, you have your shield.

Kiaya is a bit out of it from being severely hung over. She is standing but still getting her bearings and trying to figure out the best action.

Jack is moving towards the far wall away from the fight.

Here are all the Rolls Oliron.
KNtoran
For rolls D20: 17, 12, 14, and 13
D6: 1, 4, 2, 4
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thomaslee
D20 attacks: 21, 14, 12, 18
D8 damage from long sword: 4,7,3, 6
Got 17 for spot check.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
KNtoran
D20 spot check rolled a 5
D20 attacks: 17, 4, 8, 19
D8 damage from long sword: 1, 4, 8, 3
Remember I get +5 to attack rolls and +4 to damage
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rissa
ooc: 1d20 attack = 15
(I'm a little confused bare with me, am I only attacking one target? I am sorry for the trouble, as I said the rules here are much differen't than I am used to, and I never had to roll for myself.)
unarmed damage 1d6 = 4
(For a bonus feat I have flurry of blows "When unarmored, a monk may strike with a flurry of blows at the expense of accuracy. When doing so, she may make one extra attack in a round at her highest base attack bonus, but this attack takes a -2 penalty, as does each other attack made that round. The resulting modified base attack bonuses are shown in the Flurry of Blows Attack Bonus column on Table: The Monk. This penalty applies for 1 round, so it also affects attacks of opportunity the monk might make before her next action. When a monk reaches 5th level, the penalty lessens to -1, and at 9th level it disappears. A monk must use a full attack action to strike with a flurry of blows." So in I roll again?)
1d20 attack = 12
damage 1d6 = 5
(If this is wrong I am desperately sorry, I will catch onto the rules here once I get through a battle or maybe 2 at most.)

1d20 rolls 16, 5
damage 1d6 rolls 2, 4
ooc: 2nd turn as shown in the help thread.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
JPatt
SA: Valdien's blessed longsword sails toward the creatures, whichever presents themselves, again and again the young crusader hacks at the diminutive cadavers in the doorway.

Val stands and makes three attacks, (if that's three turns or whatever, not hearing or noticing the raven or Jack until the third turn), then realizes what all else is going on... (and by then maybe the situation will present different options).
Rolls (not adjusted):
1D20 (hit rolls): 5 8 20 13
1D8 (damage): 4 2 2 7
1D20 (spot etc): 3 2 10 9

BAB: +1 (+1 for sword = +2)
AC: 12 (base 10 + shield + Dex)
HP: 12
