Missing posts?

Apparently there was some kind of server downtime and/or maintenance on this board.  Before that happened, I actually was at about 83.3% of my current posting level.

When the board was restored, some of my posts were missing and my level was lower.

For instance:  I know that I posted in the thread for favorite music, but my post was missing after the board came back up, making it seem as if I had never posted.

Any idea as to what may have happened to those posts that I made and have vanished?

Yes, we are very sorry about that, we were down for a couple of days, our latest backup of the forum was from the 21st September, so anything that was posted after that til now would be missing. For further details please check the 'Updates' link in the top menu.

Whew!  At least I know that I'm not crazy (relatively, LOL) or that I had done something wrong to cause my posts to be deleted.

Nope, nothing on your end. Hopefully other members that are wondering about their posts will not be badly shaken. Thanks for starting the thread, others might see it and get the message

TVNewsCam, you was concerned huh? I can imagine trying to accumulate posts and then suddenly realize they're gone ;D  but nothing is gone forever

I am very happy to see this thread has been inactive since September of 2003. Good fortune shines upon the determined web master. *Knock on wood* Technologies today and the importance of the web for our day to day lives has demanded in many cases that the hosting services have much more reliable equipment as well as many do mirrored backups of some kind to prevent this sort of thing. It is all a major part of the reliable web hosting that everyone today have come to expect.
