Missionary Tag

I remember in England there were people going around with LDS tags trying to get into people's homes for whatever evil reason. It was a troubling time.

From Deseret News:

LDS MISSIONARY TAG FAILS TO FOOL STORE MANAGER
In some places, being a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints means having the door repeatedly slammed in your face.

Why did the guy give them the computer without a check? That is just ridiculous. I know he wanted to help, but is he living in a cave someplace? He should have known better. In my opinion. He should have explained to the Bishop he would give them the computer only after the clerk arrived with the check. Any real Bishop would have understood.

The man began crying, Lindsey said, claiming to be a BYU student preparing to serve a mission. The police ordered him to pay for the computer, issued a warning and let him go

What kind of cops are these? I cannot believe they didn't arrest him for fraud. This guy committed a crime when he first left with that PC. Having him pay for it after the fact doesn't change the fact that a crime was committed.
