Surgery Or Life Health Problems?

I was just wondering if anybody has gone for surgery or have had any life threatening dieases or anything? Maybe even the worst injury you've had and where you got it from.

Xtra I have gone for surgery. In fact, you'll find a thread about why I had to have the surgery. I would explain it here, but it is posted in the mature board. The thread is titled 'I found a lump...'

I have had surgery 7 times as an adult. Knee surgery twice, a c-section to have my son, 3 surgery's for female type problems, 1 arm/wrist surgery.

My wrist doctor told me I demand more out of my body than it was designed to give! laugh.gif

I am subject to the most preventable cause of death in the top ten causes of death in the USA (it ranks 8th). My diagnosis is severe depression with psychosis, and I am suicidal. There's even a bridge within two miles of my house that people committing suicide use, because there's at least a 500 foot fall to solid ground below. If it weren't for my cats, I wouldn't be alive today. I stay alive for them, not for myself. Sitting here at the internet is just a way to pass the time each day. I really don't enjoy anything anymore. I've given up on reading, and I don't socialize. I don't even like leaving my house. I've already decided on how I'm going to end my life. Its just a matter of time. cry.gif

Jeff, I suggest you get some medication from your psychaitrist. Depression is treatable. If the fiirst drug you try doesn't work, keep trying others till you find one that does. I personally know people who suffer from this disease. I know they too have been in as much despair as you. Some are more successfully being treated than others, but the key really is to keep trying.

I believe the answer is really more in the antidepressant meds than in talking to the shrink. wink.gif

jeffgson -- I hope that was a professional diagnosis, and not self-diagnosed. If so, that professional is there to help you! Please continue to consult with your doctor -- life doesn't have to be like what you describe. If you have self-diagnosed, please seek professional help.

Choose life, my friend.
