I've been thinking about going brunette ... but I'm so scared, I've never dyed my hair before like that.... I was wondering if anyone here has gone from blonde to a nice dark brown color, if so, did you like it/hate it? If you hated it was it hard to get back to your blonde color?
If you want to know what it would look like, get the shampoo-in color and try it. If you don't like it, it will come out in about 12 + washings. It is NOT permanent. Once you find a Shampoo-In color you like, then you can get the same color in a permanent style. Edited: AGene on 30th Jan, 2004 - 9:34pm
Like Agene says, try it first with a semi-permanent color. If you go permanent, you won't easily get back your true natural color without cutting out much of the died hair. This is because you will be dyeing on top of dye. If you choose to strip the color out first, then you are dying on top of a straw colored hair, but still not your natural color really.
I have seen two cases where blondes died brown. I didn't like either of them. I think part of this is because in both cases they went too dark for their complexion. One of these was my neice, the other is Kelly Osbourne.
So, my other piece of advice would to do it in stages. Don't go real dark all at once. Make it a little darker each time until you get to a color you really like. Edited: tenaheff on 31st Jan, 2004 - 11:04pm
