Removing Appendix Ahead Of Time

Comments: I will be stationed in a remote town in Africa for the next two years and I wondered if its advisable to have my appendix removed first. That might sound extreme but all my siblings had emergency cases of their appendix bursting and I don't want to be that situation and not near good facilities. What do you think?
