A lot of people are afraid of doing business online because of scams. There are a lot of scams out there, but there are ways to protect yourself against it. Following some of these tips will help:

1. Always guard your information. Do not give out personal information if it is not absolutely necessary. See our own privacy statement to the very bottom.

4. Be careful where you surf to. Visiting dangerous web sites can enable scammers to get information about your computer, access to files and so forth. You should always have your computer set up with:

a. A more secure browser like FireFox, disable java, flash and javascripts

b. Install anti-virus protection and a firewall

c. Set your browser to NOT remember passwords or field info

d. Beware of phishing by copying and pasting links rather than just clicking
