As you wait it seems that time slows down and the sun takes forever to finally disappear in the west. Once the sun has disappeared the night gets dark fast. You see some torches being lit along the top of the walls adding light to the area around the stronghold.

The night deepens and you begin moving closer to the stronghold. As you get closer you can see movement on the walls. It looks like they have patrols on the wall. You are about 160 feet from the walls.

You drink the potions of dark vision and the other potions to start the assault. When bastion fly's with his two passengers he will see there is a armored figure at the top of both towers. You will have to deal with the armored figure before you have control of the tower. You can see that it appears to be at least ten armored people patrolling the walls and the towers.

Page 86 Game Post Play Dragons and Dungeons

Ildrahil flows into the crack between the drawbridge and the wall. He floats down along the chain to the ground where one of the two large winches are in place to control the drawbridge. (There is one on each side.)

Krusten lands on the wall. There is a torch burning on the walls spaced about 20 feet apart. Yes they keep the wall well lit. Only shadows are on the ground. She does not see a mage on the wall or on the ground.

Bastion lands on the top of the tower releasing Deanna and Albrecht. There are two guards on the towers one on each side. They move to attack. I will need a initiative roll plus attack rolls from everyone. There are four guards on each side of the towers patrolling the walls. One set of the four will see Krusten materializing and move to attack her.

Game Post Play Dragons and Dungeons

Round one. Krusten is on the wall to the left of the tower. There is a fighter a female charging towards her that is between her and the tower itself. There are three others to the left of her that are beginning to head her way except for the farthest one who is blowing a horn. There are four guards on the wall to the right of the towers three are headed towards the tower while the farthest one away is blowing a horn.

The two on the tower are heading towards bastion one is close the other a bit farther away. Krustens first shot hits the female but it does not seem to phase her much but you can tell it hurt. She will be on krusten in the next round. She is wielding a battle axe.

The one closest to bastion is a female half orc she swings falchion but misses. The other fighter will take a melee round to get to bastion. Deanna sends out a lightning bolt on the three to the other side of Krusten. It catches all three of them and they are thrown to the ground but they all get back up and start heading towards Krusten again. Albrecht attacks the female half orc with his staff doing 7 damage. She takes the damage and keeps fighting. Bastion attacks the half orc and does 15 damage. She is still up.

Ildrahil moves to the wheel and tries to turn it but it will not budge. He looks around and hearing the horns slinks into the shadows. He has no problem looking around the corner and seeing a doorway (No door) that leads into the tower on the left.

Battle map is up. I will continue with this battle tomorrow evening Be patient if you wish to change an action let me know in the party leader thread. Everyone is listed by initials.

Round two Ildrahil heads into the doorway and sees the stairs heading up. They switch back and forth until at the top they end at a trap door that is shut. It will take you a melee round to get up and then another to open and climb up onto the top of the tower. So round four you can act.

The female fighter attacks bastion but misses again. Albrecht attacks her hitting her for 16 damage. She takes the hit. The second fighter attacks Albrecht hitting him for 8 damage. Bastion swings at the first fighter for 12 damage killing her.

Krusten shoots her bow at the one coming at her by the tower but misses. The fighter hits her for 10 damage.

Deanna sends another light bolt at the other three fighters heading towards Krusten. Two of them are able to doge some of the hit but the last one is hit solid. HE is very slow to get back up. Next round the first of those three will be in melee range of Krusten too. Krusten check and update your AC -1 is not a good AC in 3.5.

Round three Deanna sees people coming out of the mountain caves so she uses the wand of fireball on the cave entrance. Ildrahil is up at the top of the stairs opening up the trap door so he can be on top of the tower. He is closest to Krusten. Krusten fires her bow point blank at the fighter doing 14 damage. She attacks back but misses. The fighter coming up from behind her attacks and misses very badly. Almost over topping herself Albrecht attacks the next fighter for 9 damage Bastion heals Albrecht for 5 points after hitting the fighter for 12 damage.. The fighter attacks Bastion missing him.

Next round Ildrahil can act, and there will be three fighters at Krusten and another fighter from the other side will be able to attack either bastion or Albrecht. Avan can hear fighting on the top of the tower.

Round four- Ildrahil tries to do a sneak attack but she moved enough to make him fail. Krusten mean while shoots her again causing her to stagger back some. There are two fighters behind Krusten now They attack dealing 14 damage to Krusten. Avan casts natures ally. Where do you send the eagle to attack? Deanna sends another fireball down among those in the courtyard that are heading towards the towers. She can see more people coming out of the mountain. Albrecht spell entangles the lead fighter coming from the walls causing him to block the stairs at the top of the tower. Bastion hits the fighter by him damaging her some more. She still swings back but misses him again. For a free action Deanna uses her chime of opening causing the two pins holding the drawbridge closed to pop out causing the drawbridge to slam down open. Avan can see people pouring into the courtyard from the mountain. A couple bodies are laying in the courtyard.
