Ex-Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky has been arrested again on new child sex charges, Pennsylvania Attorney General Linda Kelly announced Wednesday.

The move raises the total number of alleged victims to 10 people, according to a statement.

The new charges include four counts of involuntary deviate s-xual intercourse and two counts of unlawful contact with a minor.

When earlier allegations arose, the longtime defensive coordinator maintained his innocence and said he only "horsed around" with disadvantaged boys in his care. He had been free on $100,000 bail.

The grand jury report made public last month detailed 40 charges against Sandusky in a child sex abuse scandal involving at least eight alleged victims and spanning 15 years. Ref. CNN

Former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky, who is accused of sexually abusing young boys, surprised a packed courtroom Tuesday by waiving his right to a preliminary hearing.

After Magistrate Judge Robert Scott asked Sandusky if he understood he was waiving certain rights, the former coach said yes, and the courtroom erupted in conversation and laughter. The judge admonished the crowd, and Sandusky and his attorney, Joe Amendola, left shortly afterward.

His arraignment is set for January 11.

Sandusky, former defensive coordinator for Penn State University's football team, faces more than 50 counts involving the alleged s-xual molestation of 10 boys he met through a youth charity he founded, The Second Mile.

Sandusky has acknowleged showering and "horsing around" with boys, and said he has an attraction to children, but said it is not s-xual in nature. Ref. CNN

Police are aware of three men who say they were abused in the 1970s or 1980s by now ex-Penn State football assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, CNN contributor Sara Ganim reports for the Harrisburg Patriot News.

The allegations are the first to involve claims of abuse by the coach before the 1990s. During Sandusky's child rape trial, his defense argued that it is rare for someone to suddenly become a pedophile in their later years.

Sandusky was convicted in June of 45 counts of child sex abuse against 10 victims. As the jury was deliberating, more accusers - including his own adopted son - were speaking publicly for the first time about alleged abuse. Ref. CNN

And he deserves every moment of it for allowing those poor boys to go through so much when he could have done something about it. Obviously these kinds of monsters have no conscious at all.
