Have you ever made a dream come true?
I have once, I was dreaming about starting a club for fishermen. In that dream I had several members and a well established committee.
I awoke the next day with the dream still clear in my mind, I was thinking about seriously for a while so I decided to tell a few of my friends who were also fishermen. They thought it was a good idea so we looked into what we would need to start up our own club. It turns out there is a lot more involved that you would think. Its basically like starting your own business. A few weeks past and little was getting done but we got there eventually and now, to this day, I am a co-owner of a little fishing club in Budley. It just gos to show you really can live a dream.
If you have realistic dreams, then you can realistically make any of them come true. Its not like its a supernatural deal, you simply make happen what you want to happen with in the spectrum of reality and what can actually be done. It has nothing to do with some sort of psychic "make your dreams be a reality" thing you see on late night TV. Its as simple as wanting something and then going after it. People are always striving to attach something psychic or supernatural to dreams, the reality of that attachment is just not there.
I wrote a song based on a chorus and tune from a very vivid dream I had, years ago. I've also dreamt since childhood of getting married and I'm well on my way to doing that...
It's like konquererz said, being able to make your dreams come true, depends on what exactly you're dreaming of!
Hmmmm
Making a dream come true? From what I read of the post, and of the answers, it assumes these dreams came from... out of nowhere? I don't think so.
Your dreams reflect conscious thoughts you made at some stage. Maybe they were waking fantasies, or discussions with other people, or a thought you had while sitting on a bus/ park bench/ rock while fishing.
Your thoughts manifested into a dream, and you went into action following that dream.
Of course, I could be wrong. Maybe pixies do exist, and they sprinkle fairy dust over us while we sleep?
eek... I've just opened myself to all sorts of verbal barrage!
I don't know where dreams come from, or why they can be so vivid, but I can tell you that around 5 weeks ago, I entered a competition, for a free VIP night out, with eat as much food as you want, as much free drink as you want, and evening entertainment- mustn't forget the eat as much as you like from the chocolate fountain!
I entered the competition at night (so maybe this had an effect on things), but I woke up at 1am, and I was convinced that the restaurant company had just phoned me to tell me that I had won-so much so that I nearly woke my husband to give him the good news but decided to leave it until the morning. However we had a good laugh about it in the morning when we checked the phone, and nobody had called (surprise) but I then received an e-mail around 10am to indeed say that I had won the tickets--- great!
The next night however, I went to bed, and had a really vivid dream, that I was going to die, and when I asked when? I was told May 17th. I spent the 2 weeks following, totally miserable, and when it got to this date, I didn't even want to get out of bed, and spent the day looking over my shoulder---horrible!
I don't know like I said what caused these dreams, and it was only the way that the first dream had materialized that frightened me so much with the second.
I was just glad when this date came and went!
I have to agree with Philosopher on this one. Generally, my dreams are related to the thing that happened during the day, or about a person I thought of, or as in the case of Whitligher, something which I thought of doing in the near future.
So, I feel it's just coincidental that you dreamed about something and that thing happened. I guess it's just our subconscious trying to express itself.
