Beltane - Pagan Fire Festival
At the end of this month Pagans all over the world celebrate Beltane.
It is a fertility festival symbolized by the colour red, spring flowers and and purifying fires. It is also called May Eve and it is where country folk danced about maypoles and jumped over the Belfire. Lovers made their commitment to each other and farmers asked their blessing on their crops. It is a time of initiation and focus of good work for the coming year.
Does anyone else celebrate this festival? Or has any one heard of it?
