Krusten looks at them going off onto a trail they just found and shakes her head simply saying, "Men, they follow scent like a dog.". She looks at Anntreen with an assuring face then puts one hand on the cart with a gesture to go onward as she stays as a protector until they arrive to their destination... She gave her word to the peasant leader about this and she intends to keep it.
Out of character: That's actually not a mistake, Kit. Is virtually impossible to tame an adult wild animal and put it to work without resorting to magic. Someone with the proper skills (Krusten) could train a cub but it would require years anyway.
"Two carts? That's how many the travellers we were with lost. Krusten told me they were robbed. With the three of us, we do not engage. We can only scout out and report to Loya's guard. Keep to the bushes if you don't need to stand on the road to yrack them."
Toms does as he suggests, staying 30 ft from the road, following Jon.
Ferrin nods with his big, childish grin and tromps into the bushes. "Readys!" He calls back, "Can you's sees me? I's hidings here to stay hiddens and spy's on the bad mens. Likely, his pack sticks up above the bushes.
The peasant's leader nods [seeing] Krusten and Anntreen [proceeding] along the main road. The wounded commoner, visibly tired after the long walk, lights a torch to enlighten the way. The two girls can see sparse buildings appearing in the countryside at both sides of the Southern Road, deep black shapes almost merging with the surrounding darkness. "We are almost there", announces the leader, stopping a moment to remove a pebble from his shoe. "This is Lowmeadow, Miladies", he declares then describing an arch in front of him with his right arm. "There's an Inn further on the road. At any time we could meet the night watch now". As to confirm his words, you see a dancing light approaching from the west. Meanwhile.... The boys follow the tracks for almost an hour. After a couple of twists, the path becomes unclear, covered by grass and low bushes. Is almost dark, keeping on the right trail isn't an easy task anymore. Out of character: Tell me what you want to do, I'll roll.
Anntreen pulls her lantern from her bag lighting it as the dark night falls, she hands it to the kids in the cart showing them how and where to hold it so that the light covers the area in front and on both sides.
It is almost night and Anntreen's been watching the the wounded man for a while, she had patched him up before just using her skill and healers kit but she was beginning to think he might need a more magical touch. She was hesitant to use the last of her magic for the day but as night is practically upon us she has decided to offer even more aid to the man then just helping to pull the cart with him.
"I know we are almost there Sir, but can we stop for just a moment?" With this Anntreen stops helping to pull the cart.
She steps over toward the man whom still is hurting, and asks, "If you don't mind I want to help again."
She gos on to cast Cure Minor Wounds on him 2 times, saving her last cast of a 0 level spell in-case of emergency.
Cure Miner Wounds +1HP + 1 from healing domain = 2HP
Cast twice = 4HP gained.
When done, she takes up the positions she had to start pulling the cart again. Edited: KittenPunk on 18th Dec, 2012 - 7:31am
Krusten looks at the dancing lights, she squints trying to make out what is approaching and remains guarded as she waits to see what it could be.
"A rest at the Inn will definitely be good" she says casually not knowing if that is really where she could spend the night.
Out of character: Ferrin will continue on as far as the others will go and will even protest mildly ("But! For Justices?") if the others decide to stop, but he's not about to go charging off on his own.
A couple of notes, just to be sure we're all on the same page: first, Elves and Half-Elves have Low-Light Vision which allows them to see twice as far as humans in moonlight, starlight, etc. It also allows them to retain the ability to see color and detail in such conditions. Secondly, Cure Minor Wounds simply does 1 point of healing, not adjusted by the Healing Domain. It's a great spell for stabilizing someone who's bleeding, but it's not going to make everything better at once.
