The man calls the old server slowly wawing his hand in a mannerly way. He whispers something to her ear and then looks again at Krusten with a slimy smile. The maid disappears behind the door by the counter to come back few minutes later with two bowls of hot soup, some stale bread and two mugs of warm cider. "Mr Murno here wishes you a nice stay", she says in a flat tone while putting the meal on the table. Krusten can still feel the man's piggy eyes scanning her intently.
"We are. I guess I was just looking foreword to a dry night and perhaps a hot bath." She smiles
"I guess I'll take you up on the Meal, tho I was just doing my job, as a Cleric of Eger it is my Job to act is the way the Goddess would want, it is her that offers protection and healing in such times of grate need, it is her Knowledge that brings hope to the mistrial and tends to the pore."
Anntreen calms herself realizing she had begin to preach.
"No, I am sorry, Do not offer me a meal as payment for Healing this was freely given. If you still wish to by me some soup, I will take it as a gift from a new friend?"
She finishes saying as the soup and mugs get set in front of them...
This would be the 1st time Krusten will of seen a look of shock on Anntreen's normally calm and happy face.
She asks at once "Who? Who sent them?" Looking a round really for the 1st time not having taken much notice to whom was in the room till just now. Edited: KittenPunk on 21st Dec, 2012 - 3:22am
Out of character: Sorry boss. Didn't mean to offend. I actually expected you to tell me the purse was full of flint arrowheads or something equally amusing. Was just [role-play] to give the other players a feel for Berin - his nuances and mannerisms. I'll gladly sacrifice my least favorite family member to get back into your good graces, Mr Bruconero.
Sir [..], please don't turn me into anything.... Unnatural.
Back in character: Berin overheard the serving crone's words and his hopefulness [dissipated]. If only he were born wealthy - they had it so easy. He continued to watch blearily, but he felt glum inside.
Tomas says, "Well I for one know that strength is in numbers. I cannot let you two run off leaving me alone. I'll go, just tell me Jon, what is your intention continuing this chase?"
Krusten repeats the name, "Mr Murno?" so the old server can point to exactly who it might be as though she doesn't have an inclination already. She inspects the soup and then eats after some delay. She will of course give a nod to whomever sent the meal while telling Anntreen "Oh stop the preaching already, I want to enjoy my meal in peace without hearing about gods, miracles or good deeds."
"Mr Murno is that gentleman down there", explains the woman in a bored tone pointing at the fat man with a rapid movement of her head. The 'gentleman' is still staring at Krusten while using one of his nails to remove pieces of meat or vegetables stuck between his large teeth. When you meet his eyes, his smile broadens and, without interrupting the cleaning operation, he gestures with the free hand in your direction as if he intends to encourage you to enjoy your meal. Out of Character: Kaeolin, no offence taken. I was just explaining how it works here. But your offer of a family member is rejected: I don't want to take care of your mother-in-law (laugh)
Having her hunch verified by the old woman and not wanting a date at this hour or with that man Krusten religiously eats her meal without glancing at the man or his stares. In what should be a now intimidating action she uses her spear to cut her bread and continues eating her soup.
Anntreen takes it slower eating and enjoying the soup and drink.
She tries to start a conversation with Kristen, while eating.
"You know other then your name I have not gotten to know you vary well over the last day of travel you have hardly said much of anything concerning your self." Anntreen takes an other sip of soup.
"What part of the Lands do you hale from? And, how long have you been leading this adventurous life style?"
