"Mina would you like to join us in getting and sharing a room for the night? You could even join are efforts to help the kids you seemed to be enthralled with there [plight] just as we are."
"If its just the 2 of us its going to be 2 silver 5 copper each, to share the room, and if the 3 of us split the cost and share that makes it 1 silver 7 copper each with one person only needing to put 1 silver 6 copper in."
Anntreen looks over at Mina, "So want to join us?"
She smiles, "I don't mind taking the floor in the room I just really would like a door to lock and even more I want a bath if I can get one here." She thinks for a moment, not long really then adds, " And with out knowing when and if the boys will make it back, I do not see a need for a large room."
While the girls organize themselves for the night, the inn's door opens and three, soaked wet, men make their entrance in the warm room. They take off their worn cloaks and, greeting the innkeeper, start looking around for a seat. Their simple clothes indicate they are low-class peasants, maybe workers from one of the nearby farms. After a moment, they start walking to the far table as if they want to join the guards, but suddenly one of them stops and greets in a surprised tone: "Milady! Nice to see you are safe! And nice to see you have some company now: traveling alone is not wise in these lands". Krusten recognises one of the commoners that were fixing the cart's wheel the first time she met them. He must be one of the men sent ahead by the leader, because she doesn't remember seing him again during the journey. Out of Character: Krusten, you still have the silver: the meal was a treat. Kaeolin, please invest some time to fill your in-game slots.
Ferril stops to recall his schooling for a minute, but cannot recall a lesson on the subject. "Ummm," he stalls, trying to find a solution, "Oh, I knows!" He makes some distinct movements with his hands and speaks a word of power. Holding his thumbs interlocked and his fingers fanned in front of him, he casts Detect Magic to sense what magical auras may be about.
Mina answers Anntreen, "I've come from Uur, and I am searching for my past." Mina says no more on the subject.
To the question of the room Mina replies, "I thank you for the invitation, but my plan was to see if I could sleep here by the hearth for the night. It seemed the most frugal path for the night since I decided I didn't want to sleep in the rain tonight."
"Even if it were, we are still a few miles from it. I can hardly see the grove in this weather, not to mention what is in front of my own feet. We're all cold, wet and nigh on blind. Whatever we come across will have the advantage. There's no point continuing. We know the path the tracks took and we roughly know the spot we stopped noticing them. Have mercy on your own bodies and let's go back already."
Out of Character:: How many hours are we from the main road? And how many minutes from the side path?
Ferrin scans the surrounding area but he doesn't detect the faintest trace of magic. The thin raindrops scorch your skin like needles, sharpened by the cold wind blowing from the south. The Cat is barely visible in the sky: the darkness and the damp terrain transform any step in an hazard. The woods are now almost invisible in the distance. Out of Character: You can estimate that you walked for around an hour to the north-west (at least, in the beginning. The current conditions make any convintion a guess. But you should have not strayed too much from the path since the groove seems to be more or less in the same position). From the point in which you lost the tracks to the Southern Road is less than 30 minutes.
