Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 A Crone, A Marquis & Missing Medallion RPG - Page 37

As Ferrin is falling asleep, the pile of his cloak shifts and moves while a small ferret worms his way out of the folds. He sits up to take a look around, then mashes the cloak pile into a somewhat comfortable resting spot, curling up to let his fur dry by the heat of the fire.

Once the animal has warmed up a bit, he slinks off to scrounge around the inn floor for some food scraps and maybe something shiny or a cozy hiding spot. Once he has finished his explorations, but before the sun is up, he climbs up on Ferrin's chest, nudging with his nose and tickling with his whiskers. Ferrin groans and moves his head side to side, trying to ignore the morning notification. Ferrin mumbles something in Halfling and goes back to sleep.

The ferret is persistent and continues to nudge Ferrin awake. Finally, he gives in and slowly sits up. His eyes are bleary and gaze around the room just waiting for them to focus.

A timid light announces sunrise, filtered by the thick windows of the inn. The old woman gives you the goodmorning bringing to everybody a hot mug full of a bitter herbal tea. The sky, outside, is still grey and cloudy. Butch, the innkeeper, brings a huge wooden box full of logs for the fireplace before starting to set up the counter for the working day. "I already put the soup on the stove", announces his mother, "Is not wise to start a new day with an empty stomach, specially with this weather".
In the silent room, you can feel the sound of the wind blowing in the plains: a whispered promise of another cold, winter morning. Your stomach burbles, demanding its daily donation, and your bones are longing for something able to drive out the rigors of the night.

Out of Character: I'm back. Sorry for keeping you waiting. Usually I can be active even during the busy times but this end of the year was very demanding: I slept 7 hours in the last three days. Honestly, my plan tonight was to get home and go directly to sleep but I would have felt guilty if I didn't offer you guys the chance to do something, even only have breakfast. The night explorers should eat something, specially Ferrin and Jonathan. For the ladies, the meal is included in the room's payment. Tomas and Faruq can choose. I'll move the game tomorrow morning. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYBODY!

Faruq thanks the old woman for the mug. The tea's warmth was rejuvenating. Having spent a silver last night, he decides that he will forego paying for breakfast and starts nibbling on some rations from his hunt instead.

The girl with pointed ears seems to know the three he had run into last night. Faruq decides against introducing himself just yet and enjoys his breakfast. He looks out the window and sees that it is still dreary but the conditions were not an issue anymore. He'll be able to go back out roaming the plains alone soon, if fate doesn't have something else in mind.

Krusten, now happy to be up, awaits her meal. The long night on the hard floor did nothing good for her mood. She once again mumbles,

"The food better be good...."

At some point without even looking at her companions she asks, "So... What's the plan for today?"

At the mention of food, Ferrin jumps to sit himself at a table, the ferret somehow managing to end up hanging around his neck in the process. As he sits, he realizes the new man from last night is now across the table from him "Good mornings, Sands Man!" He switches his attention to the old lady, "How much for breakfasts? I be's very hungries. I will takes big breakfasts, please." Without breaking a beat, he moves on to Anntreen, twisting around onto his knees, looking over the back of the chair, "Anntreens! We founds you alls!" Coming full circle, now, he rounds back on Faruq, "You be's a long ways from homes, mister. Me, too's," he trails off, thinking of his family who had sent him away.

Anntreen head out back to the bath room and returns to the dining room a couple moments later. She tells how they got a room and she will go wake the other(s). Yes we met another girl, we asked her to join us.

She then hurry up stairs to get properly dressed and fetch the girls.

Arriving in the room she informs the girls that the boys are down stairs and bracfast is on the stone, the fires going and its nice and toasty down there.

She proceeds to get dressed and then prays re memorizing her spells for the day.

Out of game: I'll add what spells shes going to have memorized by my next pot. Doing research right now.
