Out of Character: 50 gold was the reward promised for recovering the stolen goods (plus other 50 for finding and securing to justice the brigands). If you look in the tiny purse you have been given you will find....a mere 5 gold. The three of you can add that amount to their possessions
Tomas turns to her. He whispers " 'tis an important lesson, but don't you think that is a bit excessive. They likely haven't been entrusted with a single coin in the past. "
Now he speaks loud enough for Kursten to hear "Besides, we should split with Jon. So, less than four coins each. By all means donate your entire wealth. They hardly need it, they are clothed and fed."
At the Inn:
The man shakes Ja'laron hand with vigor. "Murno is my name. Nice to make your aquaintance. It's several days that I'm stuck here, in this village, and every hour I spend waiting is becoming longer than the previous one. At least there have been some animation in this tavern since last night: the locals don't tend to go out much at night and I found myself alone for days. Apart from the guards, I mean, they are the only regulars here. They are stationed in that building just across the road. This place is deserted during the day and at night you can only see the guards and a small group of noisy peasants. But, enough of my rantings. Where do you come from traveler, and what brings you to this little rural settlement?".
Out of Character: To point out the situation. Ja'laron is at the inn. Jonathan is exploring the grove. All the others are still with the children in Goatshearer's Ranch and have to decide if stay with the children, go chat with the workers or leave the complex.
[Out of Character:] I'm posting at three different points on the timeline.
To Mina at the house: "Faruq Fikri," he says and slightly bows his head. "Well, if no one objects, I say we await the others outside." Just then, however, they are taken outside on their tour of the grounds anyway.
To Ivy outside: Initially, Faruq's face reddens at the sudden attention given to his scarred body. A moment later, Faruq drops down to a knee and smiles. "You are a good judge of character if a little crass, little one, and wise not to mistake beauty for kindness and safety." Then, Antreen speaks with the children.
To Tomas after the butler asks us what we want to do: "Tomas, may I ask what was decided in your meeting?" Faruq has no interest in meeting with the workers as he was not with the party when they were rescued, but takes no issue if the rest of the party wants to.
Out of Character: There is so much going on here I'll try to get it all in.
In Character: Krusten agrees about visiting the children after checking how what was in the velvet pouches. Although she is fairly satisfied about the children's care she whispers to them,
"If any of them (their caretakers) are treating you badly you find me and I will deal with them."
Krusten ignores the paladin's hint, there was just something about goodie-goodie men that didn't might getting blood on them that didn't take to her, she instead says,
"I think I have a horse ride with Abigail..."
In the Inn:
Ja"laron gives a firm handshake and sits down. "Murno nice to meet you too. I am just passing thru to be honest. Taking a break from the road to be honest. Why do locals not come out at night? Is there something dangerous here I haven't heard of?"
"By the way how is the food before I order something to eat?"
