Tomas uses a sharpened piece of charcoal to draw the two sides of a pointed arch in a plank for cutting, it's not the straightest he could draw. He describes a small hut in the shape he drew and that it should be lined with furs of wild cats or fabric mimicking it. On the backing plank, he also draws the holy symbol of the portrait of a lion's head and mane, with a scimitar beneath. This comes out accurately, Tomas has more than enough experience redrawing the symbol.

In the Inn:

Ja'lron looks towards the door at the sound of noise. "Excuse me, one second." He stands up and walks briskly to the door. Out of habit his hand slides to his sword as he looks towards the happenings in the street.

In the common room:
The children fall silent at Anntreen's reference to the wild dogs. Except for Ivy, too busy playing with Ferrin and Faruq to pay attention to anything else, the kids look disturbed: the cleric changes subject quickly and timely. Her funny stories have an immediate effect on the twins, dissipating the heavy atmosphere created by the memory of the battle. Is a success, but Anntreen fails to solve the mistery about who moved that blanket.
Ferrin tries to get some information from the workers but looks like they don't have much to say.
While Zachary and the other workers observe Tomas' actions in respectful silence, something disturbs the quietness of Goatshearer's Ranch. You hear somebody shouting from outside the servants' house and the noise of several people gathering and asking questions all at the same time.

Riding in the fields:
Krusten follows Goatshearer's daughter in the thick orchard. Swerving and dodging the trees with great skill, the warrior soon takes the lead in what looks to be a race to test her ability. Abigail shouts a sudden "This Way!" and makes a sharp turn to the left galloping out of the orchard and into a small grove where she stops, waiting. When Krusten, that lost some time having to catch back on her companion, stops on her side Abigail says: "Yes, you are right, I didn't invite you today for a fun ride. But I have to say that you surprised me: I thought you would fall from the saddle and crash on an apple tree". She laughs in a childish fashion, probably living in her mind the scene that she just described. All of a sudden her expression changes. her eyes become as hard as rock and her feature seem more sharp and mature. "Krusten, do you want to be my friend or my enemy?".

Outside the Inn:
Jonathan arrives in the village and suddenly realizes that his plans of asking informations around have to be delayed. A big commotion has started a few yards from the inn. An armored guard is being pushed by the arms by two women that keep yelling unintelligible words. The innkeeper comes outside the tavern's door and heads toward the strange trio, followed closely by a cloaked stranger (Ja'laron, which sees the same scene)

Ja'laron quickly follows the innkeeper he attempts to see if he can hear what the two women are yelling or spot any danger.

"Ladies, please calm down. What is going on here?" Ja'lron ask both the ladies and the guard.

Krusten, surprised by Abigail's erratic behavior yet aware that there was something more to her, wonders about her question for a second but not thinking too long she tries to make her answer one of short humor to see what she will say. Krusten laughs and then says with a smile, "What if I say enemy?"

Faruq snaps out of his reverie and ceases playing with Ivy. He will walk out of the common room and make a spot and listen check towards the servant's quarters.

"We can finish this later, let's have a look at this commotion" suggests Tomas to the workers around him.

He walks in a straight line towards noise, climbing fences as required.

At Faruq's standing, Ferrin jumps up from the meal as well, taking spoonful of the porridge with him.

"What is all the fuss nows?" He shouts, chewing the mouthful ungracefully. He grabs his quarterstaff and heads outside toward the noise.
