At the ranch:

Krusten.
"I told You, Milady, I don't kow where Lady Abigail is", says the kitchen servant when she is finally alone with Krusten, in one of the storage rooms of the servants house. "Why don't you try asking the butler or some of the personnel in the mansion? Probably she is still there. I'm just a humble cleaner, I'm not informed about the movements of the Masters".

Ja'laron looks at the Stablemaster with a embarassed look. "I have been in the neck for sometime, but I have heard of quality of wool here. My question is this, since Mr. Goatshearer is so well known and established, would it not raise a eye to see someone else selling three full loads of wool into the market? A market dominated by Mr. Goatshearer?

Anntreen helps them with the body's in to the cart as respectfully as possible to the dead. She turns to the commoners and states, "Atrocities like this are the resin why bands of adventurers like ourselves are formed. Sometimes it takes getting up and doing it yourself to get the job done, and done right. With the goddesses blessing the suffering your community has endured will be ended soon."

Ferrin helps as much as he can with the bodies. Given his small size and lack of physical prowess, he uses his staff to leverage the bodies into position on the carts.

Mina hears Tomas's announcement, then responds with another, "I agree. Let's go back, but can we think about leaving sooner, like tonight? If we could, we would try to get to the Bandits camp under the shadow of night so we could scout their ranks, and then deliver a surprise attack? Is it plausible?"

At the Ranch:

Krusten.
Krusten decides to adopt a more...threatening tactic to refresh the servant's memory and her choice has an immediate effect. "It was not me, not me", swears the woman bursting into tears, "I heard that also but was not me". The woman falls on her knees, terrified. "That's happening often lately, I don't know why. I only want to do my job and provide food for my family. Have pity of me, I can't talk". She keeps weeping convulsively, explaining all the terrible things that could happen to her and her family. Finally, she hugs Krusten's legs and whispers: "Is the butler. He hates the Mistress because the lady is against Them. But I don't know much, I stay away from troubles. Please, please let me go".
The woman voice sounds somewhat different from the female voice krusten heard while listening through the windows so maybe she may be telling the truth.

Sgtlee.
The Stablemaster thinks for a few seconds than replies: "I'm not a merchant but I've been here long enough to understand how things like this work". "In my opinion, depends on how smart this criminals are. Goatshearer is one of the most important sellers of wool in the whole Empire, maybe the biggest. But he is not the only one. If they sold all the three loads, actually six counting also the first shipment that was robbed few days ago, in the same place at the same time they would be giving away their identity. But if they are patient and just send small amounts to different markets, nobody will be able to tell the brigands from the many small herders that dot the countryside".

On the Southern Road:

The party help the commoners to complete their sad task. The caravan is ready to head back to the ranch when the sky is still bright and Sole peeks at times from between the clouds. The way back is made long and grievous by the three slow carts. Nobody seems in the right mood to talk and the walk back takes place in an innatural silence.
The layer of dark clouds is already getting more thick when the group reaches the estate. The first shadows now give a more sinister look to the mansion and the vast fields. The commoners thank you for your help and head immediately to the area where the funerals are to be held.

Out of Character:
I interrupt here to give you the chance to decide what do you want to do next. Attend the funeral? Join the others (I will update sgtlee when he leaves the stables, the informations are all gathered now)? Head back to the assault site? Retire in the inn?

(Out of Character:) I think we should regroup. I think all of you should attend the funeral. I plan on sneaking into some rooms and doing some looking starting with Rusty, Slim, and anyone else you possibly inform me has your interest, while they are all tied up at the funeral.
