These are all great arguments that can be made obsolete by the new concept laid down in the Fair Tax plan currently under review by congress appointed commission. It looks to eliminate loop holes and illegals not being tax by taking 23% of all new goods sold to consumers. Most companies say it would save them money with out all the paper work and they would lower prices. Better yet, the tax is embedded so you don't see it. Better yet, you no longer may medicaid or any other federal tax so your paycheck is bigger. Studies at Harvard and MIT show that the government would actually get more money while citizens would pay less since loops holes would essentially be eliminated. I encourage you to really read about this because I really want everyones input, it looks to good to be true, but who knows! Could this change your opinion on taxation?

I did a little research on the fairtax. It sounds like a great idea. It would relieve us all from filing taxes and dealing with the IRS.
Here is the thing. What will the lobbyist do? Without the control of the tax system congress would be cutting their own throats. For this to pass it would take a miracle.
I have been keeping up with this for a while. Its getting allot of lobbyists all up in arms, but overall, the talks and research are going well. The idea has pushed many corporate lobbyists into the fray FOR it though. Its funny, some lobbyists actually on my side of an issue!
