Tomb Raider
I know I am late, but I only recently saw this film and I cannot help, but wonder if it was not the female version of Indiana Jones. If it was their intention to do this then they failed. Lara Croft seems too powerful, and acts as though she is in the Matrix. The acting of Angelina Jolie could never touch Ford and I believe they use her for her rude look rather than her acting.

Raider Tomb
I tend to agree with all of your assessments of the movie. There were some pretty nice cinematography, especially of the lands in Asia, but the movie doesn't even compare to the least of the Indiana Jones movies (Temple of Doom).
However, I did enjoy both Tomb Raider movies. The action was fun to watch, as was the actress.
