Sing-song Praises?

There is a kind of preaching that I will refer to as 'Sing-Song Praises', basically the focus is on most ministers and preachers that use a high pitched sound while speaking and body movements as though they were in a festive mood, this may even include dance or bobbing of the head, etc. Do you think such preaching styles has a place in religion or do you think it is merely a mockery?

I do not like it. Not only because it seems more like a show than an actual preaching, I find it to be excessively loud and noisy. Noise is something that doesn't agree with my concept of worshipping. BUT I do not disagree with those who choose to worship the Lord in this way.

Sing-song Praises? Beliefs Religious General

Perhaps if one relies on the pitch or the excitement of a preacher's presentation to feel the Holy Ghost, the resulting feeling is more adrenaline than Spirit. I feel good listening to motivational speakers, but the feeling I get from them is excitement, not the Spirit. If the Spirit is truly in a meeting, those prepared to receive it will be uplifted, even if the speaker is completely bland and inarticulate.
