The Army estimates automatic budget cuts scheduled to take effect March 1 will have a $15 billion economic impact and affect more than 300,000 jobs nationwide, according to documents obtained by USA TODAY. Hardest hit states include Texas, Virginia and Pennsylvania. Among the least affected: Delaware, Wyoming, Montana and Rhode Island. The military faces $500 billion in budget cuts over 10 years from sequestration cuts. The Army anticipates that it will need to slash $18 billion in spending by the end of this fiscal year Sept. 30. I'm worried about this move. Obama's explanation besides the economy is that we have better technology so we don't need so many men, I don't buy it.

What I find interesting about all of this budget cuts is the fact that the president was heard telling department heads to make it look worse than it actually is so that he will get his way. Taking away funding to troops in this manner is wrong in my belief. Now we just have to watch and see what happens.

I don't understand this reasoning. In a climate where the east is amassing so much control over territory outside of their boundaries they want to cut troops? What, have the terminator robots been put online already?
