If that's true, then I feel really bad for these ladies but because they are in such a high demand you won't see a big effort in trying to eradicate the problem.
There was a part two to the TV6 report. In the second part one of the traffickers said that before they do anything they make sure that National Security, Customs and Police officials are paid off and then they bring in the women. It also seems that they pick up the women during the night in a boat telling them they are going to another part of their own country only to realize they are here in Trinidad when daylight comes and they hear the English language.
If TV6 could find and interview an alleged human trafficker then what does that say for the police finding and capturing the same human trafficker?
The difference is that there are probably a lot of people in high places involved in the whole "Business" And capturing them is obviously not profitable.
Comments: Is it Colombian women alone? I thought they mostly came from Venezuela and Santo Domingo.
Sammy yes they come from Venezuela, Colombia, Santo Domingo mainly but we seem to see a lot of Colombians in the "Business".
Comments: My message to all these women, instead of being prostitutes just learn to speak English real good and a nice Trinidadian man will marry you and take care of you.
Why isn't more being done by immigration to stop these illegals from entering Trinidad and infecting the people?
