Who in the world can even thinking raping your own child will cure you from HIV? This is just so appalling and horrifying.

The Johannesburg, South Africa father allegedly raped his two-year-old daughter, believing that it would cure his HIV.
This chilling motive emerged during a police investigation into the rape of the girl. The girl's mother was horrified when she discovered that her daughter had been raped. The mother reported the incident to police after her daughter would not stop crying and she discovered wounds in the toddler's private area.
"My daughter was crying, especially when urinating, pointing to her private area, and saying that her father had hurt her. When I examined her I saw she had cuts around her private area," the girl's mother said.
At about 3:00 pm, the day of the alleged attack, the girl's father asked to take the baby out to buy food and diapers at a nearby supermarket. The father brought her back at night, according to a statement by South African police. After making a statement, police accompanied the mother and daughter to the Nthabiseng Thuthuzela Care Center at the Chris Hani-Baragwanath Academic Hospital, where the rape was confirmed, and the father was arrested. I like to consider myself an open-minded person. I live in a country where people believe the most incredible and illogical things so I will not say anything about the belief that having sex with a virgin can cure from HIV. But, even if a man believes this thing to be true and therefore is ready to rape a girl in order to save his own life (I will suspend any judgment on the matter), why in the world he should rape his own daughter that is only two years old? I can understand (not legitimate, only understand) a desperate person that resorts to rape because believes it to be the only way to save his own life. But why not choosing a random victim? Why the daughter? I would die 1000 times for my son. How can a parent rape his baby daughter, no matter what he believes is at stake?
Violence is not a solution, but in some cases is a good medicine.

I didn't say I would do it. I said that I can understand the motives which doesn't mean I approve them. What I meant is that I would have a reasonable answer to the question: "Why he did that?". A desperate person that is given a possible solution to his problems is often ready to do anything he can in order to achieve it. If killing, raping or abusing are seen as the only possible solution desperate people might want to resort to them. But why his own daughter? This is something I can't really understand.
