There are three credit reporting companies which can give you your score and generally will rate your credit score. You generally want over 650 to be considered good, 820 is the highest. The three credit companies are listed below:
Equifax
Transunion
Experian
You are entitled to one free credit report a year from each of them for free. However, you can go to freecreditreport.com which I have an account and they allow you to keep track of credit score and credit changes for each of them.

Good Or Bad Credit History & Civil Business Politics
With my being in England it is harder to find out your credit score as most sites are for the American public. However if you contact your local Civic centre you can obtain your credit score for a small fee of around £10 - £12. It also helps if you pay your bills!
