Winter Season - Page 2

Well I'm from sunny ole Trinidad. No snow here but loads of food, drinks and good times. No way anyone can deliver gifts to someone's house and leave without having one.

I studied in England and coming close to Christmas everyone used to get really excited about snow. it was amazing for me the frst time i saw snow.. but i always longed to be back home with my family for christmas - Actually My favourite Carol used to be "i'll be home for Christmas"

so there we go i have never experienced anything but a tropical christmas.

Season Winter

I live in an area that is technically desert, but we are "nestled" in a valley surrounded by foothills and mountains. So, we get very cold temperatures in the winter (it has been in the high 20's for the past couple of mornings) and once every 50 years or so, it snows. Two years ago, we had some slushy rain that was "sort of" snow smile.gif That was fun. My folks just moved here this year and my mother is amazed at how cold it gets here -- she said I never told about the cold, just the hot summers!

This will be a fun Christmas -- cold outside, and cozy inside.

Roz

Farseer, it sounds like fun! smile.gif. In my case since I am in Trinidad of course here is summer all year long and you're baking along with the turkey and the ham rolleyes.gif When we go to Argentina will still the same since December is summer over there... tongue.gif

It just got done snowing nearly a foot in our first snow of the season. I believe that if its going to be cold, and its Christmas, it NEEDS to snow. I absolutely love snow, and could not live happily in a place with little to no snow.

Yep if its cold there better be a good reason! Snow on the ground! I hate the cold, and when I get the chance I'm so moving to the desert where my holiday season will be mid 70's smile.gif

Winter Season

God bless Florida. I saw where an old member was talking about sand being the snow down here, and I have to agree. It has actually been rather cold here lately, which is odd in itself. We usually don't see this cold of weather until later in the month. It's been very wet and rainy and cold.

I live in Alabama and I have only once seen snow in the winter and it didn't even last more than a few hours. I really don't care if the snow sticks, but so long as snow is falling on Christmas Eve. Thats all I want, family in the living room, watching the snow fall, Christmas tree shining, that would make my Christmas.
