[medieval] The Rescue - Page 9

The Game Master says...

Some sort of fear has come over you to the point that you can no longer function properly. You begin to wonder if Death's Mouth has not placed a spell over your ability to make decisions. You look at the body of Kron on the ground and wonder if it is not a sign of something to come upon you in the future as you hear distant snarls and growls followed by the occasional howl. 'Of course', you think to yourself. the trail of blood has led them here, but 'wait'. you think again. who is 'them'? Wolves? Bandits? Bear? Your mind races. it is dark, you cannot see well, but if you light a torch then you will be seen, what to do? Time is running out. you begin to panic.

GM: Say what you will do now. 7:00pm

Rescue medieval

The Game Master says...

After so much time at a stand still you finally devise a plan to place Kron's body out in the open, light a torch, and set it by the body. You then retreat about 20 yards to the West, to see what animals, if any, come up to the body.

After about five minutes you stand in the open as there is no visible trees around. You look at Death's Mouth, it is not far from where you are and you wonder if this is not all insane. No one or no creature seems to be around his body as far as you can see.

After the space of an hour you see no 'attempts' at the body of Kron which you find unusual, so you cover the body, douse the torch and make a camp further away from the body. During the night you plan a watch, but having not much sleep and being groggy from the lack of indecision and cold winds has made you numb to the point that all of you find yourselves sleeping at one point or the other.

At the break of the sun over the horizon you awake to see carrion birds circling over your location. They seem to have spotted food as your belly growls for the need as well.

GM: Say what you will do now.

[medieval] The Rescue RPG PBP Medieval World

The Game Master says...

You look for Kron's trusted horse and it is no where to be found. You then search the bloody body of Kron trying to ascertain what could bring such a big muscular man down. You see several large gashes all over his body, some resemble large claws while others are cut so straight as to resemble a large butcher's knife slicing meat. His possessions are limited to the ragged armor on his back. You believe this is the result of some kind of ambush, but not just any ambush. a very savage one. You place the body on Joe's horse and make your way back to the Village while hungrily devouring yet another ration.

By the days end you are making your way into the Village just before dark breathing yet another tale of woe to your reputation. You wonder if such a task as Death Mouth is too much for your hands as you bow your head and try to make yourselves camouflaged by the falling night.

GM: Stats have been updated. This specific adventure is now closed.
