Slip-ons With Faces

Do you wear slip-ons with Faces around the home? Some of the latest ones have the faces of Scooby-Doo, Shrek and others. If you wear them, which face do you chose and as an adult would you greet someone at the door while wearing them?

I don't but my kids do. My daughter has a pair that are SpongeBob Squarepants. She has gone outside with them before, but, as we all know, kids get away with a lot of things adults wouldn't. I would never buy such a pair of slippers, but I can see my wife buying a pair for me as a joke. You couldn't catch me dead wearing one of these in front of people who were not part of my immediate family!

At various times, all of my children have had slippers such as these. It probably started with Ninja Turtles, about 16 or 17 years ago. At the moment, I think my youngest daughter and my wife have "bunny" slippers.

If my wife bought me some, I might wear them. After all, if it was good enough for Val Kilmer in "Real Genius", who am I to worry about it? (Bunny slippers in that case.)

Faces Slip-ons

A few years back I got a pair of Clifford the Big Red Dog slippers to match the pair my grandson has. I got them for Christmas and yes, I wore them. My grandson got the biggest kick out of me wearing them, so why not.

I would wear them outside too. I probably wouldn't have done this in my 30's and I definately wouldn't have done it in my 20's, but now, in 40's, I realize it is no big deal. People will be amused if I do, not shocked.

I love them! laugh.gif I think they are so cute. I have a pair just like in the picture of Scooby-Doo, I wore them so much that they teared apart but I would fix it and definetly taking it to Argentina *smile*. Here in Trinidad is so hot, I do not have a need for them.

Offtopic but,
And yes, I have no problem receiving someone at the door with my Scooby-doo slippers, who knows? maybe it is Malexander at my door with a Matrix theme on his own slip-ons! *laughs*

I've had various slippers like these over the years. Lions, chickens, bunnies, etc. And like tenaheff says, I wouldn't have been caught dead in them in my 20's, but in my more mellow 40's I don't have a problem with it. I don't actually have any right now, but if my daughter bought them for me as a gift, I would certainly wear them!
