Dutch Oven Cooking

I am always looking for new and easy dutch oven recipes to use in my dutch oven. On of my favorites it Beef and Biscuits, it is a simple recipe.

Brown 1 pound of ground beef in a 12inch dutch oven.
Add 1 can of manwhich barbeque.
heat though them add a layer of grated Cheese. (about 2 cups)
them top with canned biscuit (phillsbury, any type)
add top heat and cook until biscuits are brown.
Scoop out and server

Try adding onion, green chiles, or anything else that you like it makes a good meal that the whole family will enjoy. This also can be made in a casserole pan and cooked a regular oven.

I look forward to hearing from you with your favorite recipes.

Cooking Oven Dutch

One of my favorite dutch oven recipes comes from Germans that married into the family.

German Potatoes

Cut five large potatoes and one large onion
Salt and pepper them.
Put pack of thick cut pepper bacon on the bottom of the dutch oven.
pour in half the potatoes and onions
pour on two cups of green beans, fresh or other wise
pour on the rest of the potatoes and onions
drizzle with olive oil
place on top and cook medium low for about four hours give or take an hour.

This is very fattening and greasy, but oh so good!
