Bye Bye Gregorian Calendar?

QUOTE
Now here's an idea whose time has come. Actually, probably not. But one thing is certain: When this idea's time finally does arrive, it'll show up on the same day of the week every year.

I'm talking about the C&T Calendar, a radical reorganization of our yearly schedule that's being pushed by an astronomy professor at Johns Hopkins University.

This new calendar uses Christmas as the "lock" point so that Christmas is always on Sunday. This means New Year's Day is always on Sunday and then every day is determined from there. It is still a seven day week, but an additional week is added every 5 or 6 years to account for the fact that 365 is not evenly divisible by 7.

You can go to https://henry.pha.jhu.edu/calendarDir/calendar.reform.html for a more complete explanation of this calendar.

What do you think of this plan?

Calendar Gregorian Bye Bye

What a ridiculous idea! I cant figure out or remember dates now, they go and change it, then I am screwed! They need to do away with daylight savings time, and do away with leap year, and do away an idea for another calendar. Just leave it the way it is for goodness sake. Why does everything need a better idea, some things just work on their own the way they are.
