QUOTE
BEND, Ore. - Public displays of affection are against the rules at Sky View Middle School in Bend, and 14-year-old Cazz Altomare found that out the hard way.

She got detention earlier this year after hugging her boyfriend in the hallway as he headed to lunch and she went to gym class

Oddly enough, I agree with this in some way. I believe schools should be treated like businesses and places of work are treated. It is inappropriate for co-workers to hug each other and show affection, so why shouldn't the same apply for schools. If there are relationships between students in school, then those should be displayed out of school boundaries. I think today there is too much physical interaction in our schools, and this is a good way to curb that. In my opinion.

Hugging Bans School Oregon

Well, it depends. What if two girls hug. Is that allowed or not. Girls often hug in greeting. In this politically correct world in which we live, will this be banned as well?
