ACCOUNTANT STOLE $260,000 FROM TRUSTING ELDERLY COUPLE
An Invercargill accountant yesterday admitted stealing more than $260,000 from an elderly couple who regarded her so highly she was made a beneficiary of both their wills.

Unfortunate Nice Too
The accountant was actually very sorry for doing what she did. She apparently had a gambling addiction and had taken money out of their bank account 140 times to cover those gambling debts. This thread is almost as much about theft from the elderly as it is about gambling problems and addiction. Thats a serious addiction when you lose that much money and keep going.
