Dna Of Suspects

Expanded use of DNA analysis approved

Berlin. In order to improve the clarification of criminal cases, the government wants to facilitate the use of genetic fingerprinting. A bill to this effect from the Ministry of Justice was approved in cabinet. The bill would allow DNA results taken from suspects in the future to be saved also in the case of less serious offenses. In addition, investigators would no longer have to consult a judge as they did in the past if they want to conduct a DNA analysis of an anonymous bit of evidence regarding a perpetrator, such as a hair or a spot of blood. Whether the bill can be implemented in law prior to the new elections that are being striven toward is however not known.

Suspects Dna

This bill allows for SUSPECTS to have their dna kept and saved for future use. This could and most likely will be abused by some. I think that it also violates your rights as human beings when you are essentially finger printed just in case. With others dna around, theoretically, someone involved with the case could now plant dna evidence to frame someone. Since dna evidence is almost rock solid in court now, the person would not be able to defend against the set up unless he could prove that tampering occurred.
