The Laws In Your Country

"I hear much of people's calling out to punish the guilty, but very few are concerned to clear the innocent."
-- Daniel Defoe [Daniel Foe] (1660-1731)

Are they geared towards prosecuting the criminal or defending the innocent? Why do you think so, are you sure it is not just your opinion?

Country Your Laws The

In my country the legal system is pretty much messed up. It,s not just my opinion ... even Amnesty International made a report about it and it wasn't appreciative. Anyway, I think the civil rights should be respected (more), especially in cases of "small law-breakings" ... these are the cases when the law is more concerned in punishing. In the major economic felonies, I got the feeling the law is protecting the criminals.

Offtopic but,
I hope the new minister of justice will do something about these cases ... she seems well-intended and maybe with some help she will have some efficient initiatives
