This is a poem I wrote in my gr.9 english class. It is currently published in the year book, I thought I would share it with you!
Haste
Icy air collides against my face;
Penetrating my pores,
Biting my skin.
Frosted strands of hair,
Whip the back of my damp neck,
As water pellets rush toward my bare drained arms.
Attacking the surface like a hundred needles.
The black ahead bares veering boxes of light-
My squinted eyes stay fixed on the full meter.
A tonne of vibrating metal carries my flesh,
As I race across the black asphalt,
Past every blur of silver.
Constructive comments are always appreciated
