Video of Berlin attack suspect Anis Amri pledging allegiance to ISIS emerged hours after he was killed in a shootout in Milan.

The video released Friday on an ISIS-affiliated website shows Amri pledging allegiance to the group's leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. He does not refer to Monday's Christmas market attack in which 12 people were killed.

The Tunisian man had been the subject of a Europe-wide manhunt since Monday. For months before the attack, Amri was considered to be one of the most dangerous Islamists in Germany, intelligence officials said. He was put on a German security services list of dangerous people in March; it currently includes 549 individuals. Ref. USAToday.

When you touch football that's the last straw for some people, expect reprisals if this is found to be an Islamist extremist attack.

Yup, it's amazing what we as humans find sacred. There's no doubt that soccer fits the bill in Europe. Germany will not take this lying down.

Terrorism In Germany

Football is very scared around the world. You do not mess with the games and all the athletes are almost ambassadors of their country as they visit another country. I am offended that the terrorists would attack such a game as this. I think what we find out in the next few days will make serious repercussions.

This is an incredible story in a deeply troubling way. An officer in the German army? Spoke no Arabic? There since 2015? And collecting refugee benefits? How did he manage to pull all this off for so long without speaking Arabic? What attack was he planning? This is simply crazy and the fact it lasted as long as it did is crazier still.

To do this for so long, to give up his life, he must have quite a hatred built up. He must be incredibly xenophobic towards these poor Syrian refugees. There are for sure some bad people among them, but the majority just wanted to get away from a very bad situation. And now we find someone who managed to plant himself among them so he can stage an attack and blame it on the refugees. Human depravity knows no bounds.
