Terrorist Hero Iraq

A quote from the article:

QUOTE
Cotnoir felt threatened by the crowd after a bottle thrown from below crashed through his closed window and cut him in the finger, Kelley said.

To protect himself, his wife and children, Cotnoir fired a warning shot into what he thought was a safe area but the bullet ricocheted off cement and fragments hit two people, Kelley said.

What he did was stupid, but it really isn't attempted murder. I think maybe he should be charged with reckless and dangerous behavior. Maybe even assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, but not attempted murder.

Also, since it was known that he was suffering from Post Traumatic Distress, why was he allowed to have the guns in his home? Massachusetts has very strict gun laws. I don't happen to agree with them, but it seems to me, if you are going to restrict gun ownership, this may have been a good time to do so.
