History

We have been giving out web awards for a long time now, since 1999 to be exact, but we use to do everything based on a static process. Now we thought of opening up the Community for more participation in this area. See HERE for more details on our history with this.

What We Will Review

First I want to say that we will ONLY review sites where the Member here has No LESS than 15 Constructive Posts. Do not waste your time by trying to dodge any of the below:

We will review any web site that is suitable for children of all ages. In addition to this you must agree to the following:

Consider This...

Our review is not given simply to justify a link. We really do take the time to look over and critique your site, so only web masters and web designers who take their work seriously should apply. Ensure that you follow ALL instructions given or your application / post will be ignored and deleted.

One

You agree that your site was / is in it's totality designed by you using either an HTML editor or note pad and not an online program from a freebie site or WYSIWYG.

You also agree that all the graphics were created by you and that if you used someone else's photos or images that they are 'few' (less than 20% of your site) and that you have permission to use them.

Two

You agree that your site does NOT contain racial, illegal pornographic, crude, gambling, warez, and that it is viewable by any age group. You agree that your site does not promote web design services, business ventures or pyramid schemes directly.

Three

You agree that your site has a purpose, a subject, or theme, it is easy to navigate and can be easily understood. English grammar has been checked and is in good taste without slangs or dialects.

Four

You agree that your site does not contain words or pages like 'under construction' or 'coming soon' and can be viewed by FireFox or Internet Explorer without having to install any special plugin.

You agree that your web site does not contain random pop-up ads, or other 'forced' advertisements (No exceptions!). Having your own banner and self promotion is OK so long as it is done with taste.

If you agree to all the above points then start a new thread WITHIN this Board AFTER you have made your 15 Constructive Posts, and in the body of your message place the following with answers:

What happens next...

A. We will check your Membership to ensure you made the required Constructive Posts
B. We will then review your site for content, graphics, overall look, etc.
C. Under the Thread you started we will post a comprehensive review along with our own dofollow link to your site.
